SPORTING at BUCCLEUCH

At Buccleuch Sporting, we offer clients world renowned sporting opportunities on these special estates, using the best of the natural resources available to provide a first class shooting, fishing and stalking experience.

With estates covering the lowlands of Scotland and in England's heartland, stretching from picturesque Bowhill in the Scottish Borders, magnificent Queensberry and Langholm in Dumfries and Galloway to the impressive seat at Boughton in Northamptonshire, Buccleuch Sporting has developed a reputation for sporting excellence in a world class environment.

Each of the estates offers something different.  The pheasant shoot at Bowhill is of the highest quality with notable drives, such as Black Andrew, providing some challenging opportunities. Boughton, too, shares a history of delivering traditional shooting with birds over tall hedgerows and wide woodland rides. Drumlanrig Castle is the dramatic setting for our challenging partridge shooting amid the high hills and moorland fringe of the Queensberry Estate, together with world class grouse moorland and pheasant drives.

The addition of our Buccleuch Gundog training facility at Chapel, overseen by champion trainer David Lisett, completes the superb sporting all-round experience offered.

Our fishing beats combine some of the UK's most striking scenery. We offer the finest Salmon and Sea Trout runs and our expert ghillies know where to find the best spots for casting your fly. Our loch fishing for brown and rainbow trout is located in some of the most pristine waters and serene settings imaginable.

The Buccleuch sporting experience is an authentic one combining insight and expertise with more than 700 years of tradition. We continuously strive to offer our clients the best of service on these unique estates, while caring for and conserving our beautiful, natural landscapes. With a long tradition of practical conservation, the Buccleuch Sporting team plays a vital role in the successful establishment of farm crops and young trees. Buccleuch Sporting staff help protect and nurture the balance of nature with a commitment that is unsurpassed.

Whether you are rough shooting or taking advantage of our superb driven partridge, grouse and pheasant beats, or enjoying the many fishing options on offer, we are confident you will find our service unrivalled.
