New Chief Executive
John Glen has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of the Buccleuch Group. He succeeds Michael Clarke who retired after 19 years with the Scottish based property and land management business and took up post on 3rd November 2009.
John is a Scot and a graduate of Edinburgh University, a qualified, certified accountant with a Masters in Economics. He has returned recently to Edinburgh following a long and varied career with both Unilever and Air Liquide.
John has had extensive experience across a number of sectors including household products and foods, working in the UK, Germany and the US. Most recently and for the last eight years he has been based in Paris as Chief Financial Officer of Air Liquide which is the world leader in industrial gases. In addition, John has been extensively engaged in the development and implementation of international accounting standards as Vice Chairman of the European Financial Reporting Group (EFRAG). back |
