I thought I would drop you a short note to say how much we enjoyed our day's shooting at Drumlanrig last Saturday.  It was probably the best day we have ever had at Drumlanrig.  The weather was good, the birds flew well and there were plenty of them and Rab and his team were excellent in looking after us.  Also, the Castle staff gave us a delicious lunch.  Shooting at Drumlanrig is always good but this year my team thought it was outstanding.  Please pass on my thanks to all concerned.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and Rab Kerr plus all the staff who are involved with the Fishings on the Drumlanrig Estate for the wonderful sport you have on offer (especially Kettletonhead Loch).  Yesterday was one of the best fishings days that I and my friend have experienced for many long years.  It was fantastic sport.  We caught 85 fish between 12 noon and 9.45 pm on Tuesday 22nd July and the average weight was 3-1/2 to four lbs.  However, I caught one at 5-1/2 and one at 4-1/2 lbs.

I can't thank you enough for laying on such a magnificent day for us last Saturday.  We all enjoyed it hugely and the quantity and quality of pheasants was definitely in excess of our expectations.  Please will you pass on my thanks - it was a highly professional operation - some textbook driving on display.  I must offer my sincere thanks to you for laying on such a brilliant day where you managed to challenge some big shots who have very high standards.

Many thanks indeed for another very enjoyable, if a little on the testing side (!), day at Drumlanrig.  The birds were extremely sporting, especially so early in the season but there is nothing like getting your eye in early!  Rab Clarke runs an extremely efficient operation and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with him between the drives learning more about Buccleuch Sporting.
