Partridge

At Boughton the Partridge season begins in September.  The Boughton Wood Beat came back in-hand in 2007 which has allowed us to utilse areas on the Estate previously unavailable.  New drives are now planned for the coming season, utilising the contours of the land to present game to their greatest potential.

Pheasant

Boughton begins its traditional Pheasant Shooting programme in mid-October and is second to none, built on years of expertise and heritage.  Mixed pheasant/partridge days are also offered throughout the season, and with first class driven partridge over high and abundant hedgerows, this makes for a superb sporting experience.

Boughton also boasts great success with its woodland pheasant days in December/January.  These are becoming more and more popular with clients, particularly since such an opportunity is generally unavailable elsewhere.

Woodcock

At certain times of the year Boughton is home to large numbers of Woodcock and is able to offer specialist Woodcock Shoot days with an expected bag of 50+ birds providing excellent sport with a difference.  These days are dependent on correct weather conditions and the influx of Woodcock to the Estate and cannot therefore be pre-booked.  The Keepers will monitor the woodcock numbers and the Headkeeper will offer these days when he believes the time is right.

Deer Stalking

Prime Muntjac and Fallow stalking is a speciality here at Boughton and is offered at very reasonable rates.  We welcome the novice through to the most experienced of Deer Stalkers who return year on year for this superb sport.  Muntjac are available throughout the year while Fallow is offered on a seasonal basis.
